Impossible to get a hospital appointment for months, let alone a bed in central London.

Most beds I understand are occupied by elderly mentally ill. I can see mass euthanasia if this was allowed.

What's the best way to get topped? If you have to go.

1985 Nicey committed WHOicide and asked a mod to delete his account, so he is the first I know of, to have an assisted WHOicide

Could we please introduce assisted WHOicide? Any posters who moan that they aren't happy with the state of westhamonline could be given a virtual injection by first administering a covert password change to their account and then finishing them off by deleting their account completely...

Pretty bold statement, Alex.

Mot people who chose to end their lives in this way do so because of the burden they see themselves putting their family in rather than the pain they are enduring.

If someone is terminal and in serious pain and wants to die then surely they should be allowed to, given that they are of sound mind.

Pretty simple really.

Assisted murder of so called healthy layabouts and scroungers would get my vote.

Wonder how many of the MP's who voted no have 6 months to live and are suffering from immense pain or indignity?!

I always thought suicide was more of a religious sin than anything. In modern secular society if you are of sound (ish) mind you should be able to do what you want in this matter

MPs against assisted suicide - Are they turning on their FoI financiers?

What next refusal to accept millions of undocumented terrorists into Britain.

The board of deputies won't like this, not one bit.

I would support people's right to die

I would also support every MP being put in a burning pit of rabid dogs and being eaten alive.
And that being called assisted suicide

What counts as pain?
Who says they have less than 1 year to live? Sometimes doctors are wrong.

It's their job to do just that.

That,s true, Terminally ill should probably be the words used rather than my Under a year thesis.

Why do twerps try to make ethical issues into Party political issues?

Re: Assisted suicide bill, mp's says NO !
A statement from the patient declaring his wish to die, counter-signed by two independent Doctors that he /she is of sound mind and confirming the condition should be enough to prevent someone being prosecuted after the event for helping a loved one die.

Certainly better than keeping people in perpetual torment with loved ones having to go through that anguish.

Ok what about at the point when you are getting subscribed heavier dosages of say Morphine which slowly poisons you anyway?

Typical....I don't know what the population think as a whole (I'd imagine the 'yes' to assisted suicide would be very high) and if it is that high then why the fuck are these idiots refusing to listen to us..... Still Labour are about to appoint 'Stalin' so I'm not too surprised.
